On Thursday, The New York Times film critic A.O. Scott chose JP Sniadecki’s The Iron Ministry as one of the week’s “NYT Critics’ Picks,” stating that the film is “a work of art — vivid and mysterious and full of life.”

Last year, JP Sniadecki brought the film to the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM), during which he hosted a Master Class at Concordia University, which was sponsored by the Concordia Documentary Centre.

The Iron Ministry was produced by Sniadecki and Joshua Neves, who is an Assistant Professor of Film Studies at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University as well as a member of the Concordia Documentary Centre.
